Went to our first @capitalpridedc Parade today. It was memorable to say the least. So happy to see familiar @bwcumc and @vaumc faces along with making some new friends. Proud to see @mountolivetumc well-represented.

Global Running Day sounds like a good excuse for an evening run. A few quick miles around the neighborhood. Marathon training begins officially in 19 days so for now the focus is on easy miles, stretching, and nutrition. What are your best tips for marathon newbies? 💪🏻🏃‍♂️🏅🏋️‍♂️🧘‍♂️❓

And with his last at bat of the season, C found the gap and had his best hit of the season. Coaching the Fastballs (formerly the Speedballs but that’s a story for another day) was a blast. Running has been more a therapy session than a workout since #GC2019. I can try to sort of out my thoughts or just lose myself in my cadence. Last night’s miles were different. Last night was the first time I felt like I was running because I wanted to and not because I needed to simply go through the motions. The @marine corps marathon is in 150 days and I finally feel like I’ll be able to complete my training and meet my goals on the course.

Jesus promises us the Holy Spirit will, is, working in and through us. The Holy Spirit is working for you, in you, revealing Jesus in our midst and continuing to reveal the teachings of Jesus.
The point of all this is not merely survival but instead, we are invited to thrive because the Holy Spirit has been sent, and is present among us. The Holy Spirit is revealing Christ's presence and teachings to us. The assurance and sending of God's Advocate is grace in its fullest. Grace upon Grace.
