Obsessed With Growing Young

There is a trend in church - Growing Young. We, church leaders, are obsessed with getting younger people to enter our doors and become part of our faith communities. Can you blame us? From a longevity perspective, if we don't get young people in the church what will become of the church? Will we be able to keep our doors open, ministering to the community? Will our ministries have to shift? Will our financial priorities have to shift or be rearranged?

Andy Root thinks this obsession might be misguided. Joined by Rev. Drew Colby, Jason and I interviewed Dr. Andy Root of Luther Seminary and author of Faith Formation in a Secular Age: Responding to the Church's Obsession with Youthfulness.
